Anushka Sharma was born May 1 1988 at Ayodhya Uttar Pradesh to Kumar Sharma and Ashima Sharma. Anushka was the daughter of a colonel who retired. She is also a housewife. Anushka graduated from Army School in Bangalore, after which she pursued a bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) at Mount Carmel College. Anushka holds a master's degree in studies in economics. Anushka Sharma wanted to be a model or journalist and she did not want to be an actor. Anushka, after completing her education in Mumbai she enrolled in Elite Model Management. She was trained by style consultant Prasad Bidapa. Her first appearance as a fashion model came in the year 2017, when she walked in the shoes of Wendell Rodricks at Lakme Fashion Week, and then was chosen by Rodricks to be a model in his spring-summer 2007 collection. Anushka Sharma has participated in a variety of brand-related campaigns since she made her Lakme Fashion Week debut. This includes campaigns in the name of Fiat Palio and Fiat Whisper Nathella Jewelry. Anushka took an acting class and started auditioning for films alongside her modeling career. Anushka sharma began her film career in 2008, with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. She starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan. For her screen test, she was not willing to take an impromptu one and took one day to get ready. Later, she signed up for three films in collaboration with Yash Raj Films. In the movie, she performed the role of a young girl who got married to a middle-aged man (the part Shah Rukh Khan is playing). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. In 2010 Anushka Sharma starred in the film "Badmash Co with Shahid Kapoor, Vir Das as well as Meiyang Chang. The film received mixed reviews. Anushka was also seen alongside Ranveer in the movie 'Band Baaja Baaraat', in which she portrayed the role of a Punjabi middle class woman who launched her own venture. The film was an unexpected success and received good reviews. Anushka was able to complete her three-film contract with Yash Raj Films.
